The fugtastic sins of the average person can be too many to mention at once, so today I would like to focus on the length of a pant leg. I would like to advise men and women everywhere that the hem of your pant should not, I repeat, should not end at the top of your shoe, exposing ankle and sock! Regardless of your height, there is no excuse for this flagrant fashion foul. The Men's Guide to the Perfect Fit will guide you in the right direction and ensure your look is flawless. Women and men are guilty of this, but I find that men tend commit this fashion crime more frequently.
When you visit the tailor, and almost all of us should, bring the shoes you intend to wear with you. Ladies, my advice is to bring the highest heel you intend to wear and work around that. And for those of you who use your height as an excuse...your tailor can also lengthen your pants! You may be able to salvage the pants you own, but depending on the height of your hem, you may want to start fresh. Get out there, find a tailor and please stop exposing unsightly ankles and socks!

2. finally a place to voice opinions on shopping. i only have one real pet peeve when it comes to shopping for jeans. why does every maker in the world assume ALL women want to wear low rise jeans? im sorry but the waist is AT or ABOVE the belly button...not 5 inches below it. if you actually have the figure (most do NOT) to wear them then more power to ya. but the sad thing is most us should NOT be wearing them. and there are actually some of us out there (like me) who prefer to have their jeans fit in a way we dont have to constantly be tugging up on them because it feels like they are falling down all the time. remember...a front rise should be 10-14 inches depending on size range for missy's and women's. plus sizes (sz30w and up) should be about 14-16 inches. just some food for thought on jeans.

3. Rhonda...Amen, sister! I have just, within the past few months, started wearing "real" jeans. Because of my previous weight, my so-called jeans were just denim pants with an elastic waist. Now, that I can actually wear zip-up jeans with a real waist, all I can find in the style I want are those darned low-rise jeans! They are fine if the wearer has a tiny figure with nice, taute muscles and a flat abdomen but, again as you said, MOST OF US AREN'T BUILT THAT WAY! Come on, designers and manufacturers, get real!
