Teeth whitening is BIG business. A few years ago the only way you could ensure white teeth was to drop a few hundred dollars at your dentist's office and promise to drink your coffee through a straw.
Here are some of the top whiteners that we have seen on the market:

Att home whitening: Beautifully Bright Advanced Whitening System
On-the-go whitening: GoSMILE Advanced Formula B1 - Tooth Whitening On-the-Go
Economical whitening: Listerine Whitening Quick Dissolving Strips
Night time whitening: Crest Night Effects Whitening Gel
Power brush: Ultreo
For sensitive teeth: Zen Toothpaste
For Anticavity/antigingivitis: GoSMILE Rinse
Have you whitened your teeth? If so, we would love to hear about it and see which products worked best for you. Comment now.

1. I used Gosmile and I got sores all along my mouth and corners of my lips. Was very uncomfortable. I think it is too expensive and I do not see any difference.

2. I've tried the Crest White Strips and LOVED the results. In fact, I saw results almost immediately (or maybe it was the lighting in the bathroom). I used this product half the time and could tell that it was really fighting back years of discoloration. However, the only thing I didn't like about the product was that it left an ooey, gooey residue that I would have to wipe away with a heavy washcloth (it recommends not brushing immediately after the treatment). Not the fresh from the dentist clean I was looking for but definitely achieved the ultra white smile I wanted.

3. I've had my BEST success buying teeth whitening kits directly from dentists on eBay. For around $35 I got two custom made kits (which took less than 2 weeks from start to finish) and the same whitening gel dentists use (and my girlfriend pays around $500 for). There are a number of dentists selling - I just find one with good feedback.

4. I tried a whitenning gel from Walgreens. It worked great. Unfortunately, it was only a trial size tube and now I can't find it anywhere. It's called Natural White. It came with a gel tube and w plastic plates. (one for top and one bottom). If anyone can find this, please let me know
thanks

5. Better yet, take a wet toothbrush and rub a thick layer of baking soda onto the bristles. Brush teeth in a tiny circular motion for 3 minutes. Rinse out mouth and then gargle with hydrogen peroxide swishing back and forth through front teeth. You're welcome. :)

7. Your dentist can tell you that the only thing that can whiten your teeth is hydrogen peroxide. Duration of exposure is the most important factor to how well it works. All similar products therefore work roughly equivalently. The "best" way to whiten your teeth is to have your dentist make you custom trays and bleach your teeth overnight. Our office was the first in the country to do this for $99 and most dentists have copied us. Starting this year, we do this as a free service to all of our patients. I apologize the website has not been updated to reflect this. Visit us at www.texasdentalpa.com and read patient reviews on Drs. Lazaris, Lo, and Ricci at www.doctoroogle.com.

8. Baking soda and peroxide are irritating to your gums. If you insist on "instant" whitening, dry your teeth with a blow dryer for 5 minutes. They will dehyrate and be at least 4-5 shades lighter and it will last for several hours.

11. I have tried most of the teeth whitening items on the market and I always go back to Crest White Strips Premium. Wait for the 5.00 off coupon!
They truly work awesome.
The Listerine tray whitening one was the WORST one I have ever tried.

12. I've tried the crest strips in the past & swear by them. I also work in the dental field & have applied the Zoom to patients & if you've got the money and 2 hours time then go for it & get the instant results, it really does work. I still would recommend the crest strips to anyone willing to wait a week or two for the final results. Be careful if you have sensitive teeth. I usually follow up with the crest whitening toothpaste for in-between treatments. Anything like caffeine, wine or smoking to name a few will effect how long your teeth remain white.

14. I lightened my color by two levels, from B3 to A3.5, simply by brushing with Ivory hand soap. Any soap will do, but Ivory doesn't have a bad taste and it rinses completely out with two swigs of water. The levels were attested to by my dentist, who had been making crowns for me at B3 for many years, but my last crown was an A3.5 One can see the difference after only one brushing. Also it prevents 95% of all plaque from forming, attested to by my hygienist.

16. Great info was obtained for teeth whitening, but is there a good way to whiten dentures? I have never seen this topic addressed, and is an important bit for so many of us denture wearers who need it. Thanks

20. Anyone have any feedback on the Listerine Strips...I just bought them but haven't used them yet. Crest multicare is pretty good, but not as good as the Premium Crest strips.
