Your appearance is the first thing people see, so it is important to send the right message. People may cringe when they hear the word appropriate, but it is important for your clothing to be age-appropriate as well as work-place appropriate. You don't have to sacrifice fashion for function. Chic work wear is out there, a boring suit doesn't have to be your uniform. Here are some great office options.
In a casual environment opt for dark denim, a crisp white shirt and a fitted blazer.

1. I actually think that girls in severe, black and white suits are hot

2. I disagree! The black suit commands respect, looks professional and can be dressed up and dressed down and look feminine. If someone is intimidated by it they have a confidence problem. In the world of business casual, dress has become to casual and leaves business casual open to an individuals interpretation. I've seen flip flops, black slacks with a waistband under the waist and tummy and back fat hanging over, I have seen pink camis with black bra straps showing. People need to learn what is appropriate dress in the work place and that would start at management level. If a manager doesn't give creative critism, there is a management problem. It would also be refreshing to see dress change in High School. Message to men and youngmen pants that are 5 sizes too large for you hanging around your hips is out of style and I hope you never have to run to get away from danger, your pants will kill you - fall to your calfs, fall on your face. Obituary will read John Doe failed escape baggy pants killed him!!!

3. Who comes up with this stuff? Wearing black looks like you don't have a life? Good grief, how stupid! Some people have to dress PROFESSIONALLY, not hot pink pop tarts.
Many companies have dress codes. Certain professions require a conservative look. There is a way to dress according to a company's standards and still be in vogue. To assume everyone needs to jump on the trend du jour (that will be out of style tomorrow) is trying to market to those in their early 20's.
Clearly, the person who wrote that piece is just trying to sell the latest fad..............
It would be helpful if someone with a little more sophistication had that job.............

4. Fashionistas are great for the runways, but for proper office attire: black suit, brown suit, charcoal grey suit or conservative dark striped suit w/white, cream or other light color blouse or top whether button or jewel neck speaks volumes to profesisonalism. Huge flowing leg pants are a no-no unless one is 5'11' and weighs 125 lbs. No short tops showing skin! A nice dark jacket and pegged skirt is a hot look!

5. I think the classic should change a little bit...those looks are a little too conservative. It might work in a small business but a big companies need classic.

6. Wait, who said "Wearing black looks like you don't have a life"? I don't see that anywhere. Where you'd find that one?
