I have a major shoe crush. The Tory Burch Reva flat makes me giddy. I mean seriously. I have been admiring this shoe from afar for the past year. Initially when they burst on the scene I dismissed them --- thinking that they were overpriced shoes for the high society set but I cant seem to shake them. They are like skittles for your feet, they come in delicious colors like Orchard Pink, Banana Yellow and Grass Green, as well as super practical colors like Brown, Black and Navy. The gold TB logo takes them from mundane to uber sleek.

Okay they are a tad on the pricey side ($195) but they are super comfortable and can be worn with anything from wide leg jeans to skinny jeans (sorry but I think that these are going to be around for a while.)

And did I mention they even come in pint sizes for your mini me, at a "mere" $95 daughters and mommies can be equally sassy.

I am seriously considering indulging. Just need to be able to explain who Tory is to my husband. Maybe I can convince him that she is an out of network doctor from our insurance company.

We're all familiar with the expression "you get what you pay for" but are these pricey luxuries really worth the penny (more like thousands of dollars)?

Forbes' article "Last-A-Lifetime Accessories" claims these are well worth it because they would have held their value for the next 25 years or more thanks to impeccable construction and distinct understated designs.

The pearls would make a nice heirloom but is that the cost of passing a little piece of you down to your children's children? I don't know about you but, I can find a million other ways to enjoy $36,000 rather than flaunting it around my neck (like on a very reliable vehicle). What do you think?

If you shop like me, when you find a style of something you like, you buy a lot of it. That's how I ended up with one too many oversized handbags -- my big obsession this summer. Not that a girl can have too many carryalls. I've gone through my phase of tiny purses as well and a craze for clutches too. All are being used mind you. The large totes are so functional for work; the itty-bitty purses for weekend socials and nights on the town. But lately I'm finding myself needing a bag that's neither large nor small, but medium-sized -- one perfect for a matinee movie or a trip to the mall when a large carryall can be too much, but a pocketsize wouldn't suffice either. My closet is lacking such a handbag. Maybe you're in the same boat. What better way to start our hunt for new arm candy than with designer?
