Pros:
Miniscule size; marvellously merges still, video recording; simple operation.Shoots stills at 5 Megapixels and records video in at VGA resolution - with good results.Cons:
Relying on only SD Cards for storage.Underperforms in poorly lit conditions; clumsy interface; noisy lens motors.Summary:
Basic operations couldn?t be simpler on this baby. Swing up the two-inch LCD screen and the unit immediately enters Record/Pause mode; there?s no tape or DVD cue/alignment time delay. There are only six buttons on the rear spine: Still Photo Record, Video Record, Zoom, Record/Play, Menu, and a navigation joystick. All of them are thumb-controllable. Pushing the Video Record button begins the recording process, pushing again pauses it. Pressing the Still button halfway down changes the VPC-C5 into still mode, and pushing it all the way snaps the picture. Nice!As of 01/22/06. With the price now $302+S&H at prestigecamera.com, you can't go wrong with this super small 2-in-1 digital camera!!
